Echo X’s HBS scenario based tests successful

After the successful proof of concept we have been finetuning and improving the current setup of our Echo X test device. Within this new setup we performed our scenario based test with great results and are ready for the next step: capturing data in a relevant environment.

“The success of this test means we are ready for the next phase: data capturing within a relevant environment”

The past few months our engineers Jim van Etten and Klaus Bethke have barely seen the light of day. In our lab in Enschede, where the Echo X protoype is located, they have tested all kinds of relevant material and objects. Illicits and placebo’s in a variety of containers and suitcases.

Jim van Etten is pleased with the outcome: ‘We have been very successful in the identification of this target material relative to its surroundings. This means we can accurately screen through a barrier and thereby study a specific location in a 3D field.’

Wil Ruijsbroek states: ‘These test have been performed on behalf of interested parties, some of them linked to the BrightSky Consortium. The network established by this consortium is of great benefit for sharing knowledge and insights for these kind of tests.’

The success of this test means we are ready for the next phase: data capturing within a relevant environment. For this we are preparing for a modular version of the Echo X screening device and establishing test setups in collaboration with our partners at BrightSky.

Furthermore we are diving into several tech exploration to find out what other markets might see fit in the Echo X technology and capabilities.
